About the event

Native Plants: Building Healthy Landscapes

Thurs, May 14th

10:00 am

Join us for Native Plants: Building Healthy Landscapes with Paula Carr and Debbie Seabrook of the Lowcountry chapter of the Native Plant Society.

This engaging talk will explore how choosing native plants can transform your garden into a thriving, resilient ecosystem that supports birds, pollinators, and local wildlife. Drawing on ideas from Doug Tallamy, Paula and Debbie will discuss the impact of aiming for a more balanced landscape, one that leans into native species while thoughtfully incorporating non-natives. They’ll also touch on identifying and removing invasive plants that can disrupt the health of our local environment.
