Growing Greener Together Initiative – Giving Life to Stormwater Ponds


Join us Sunday, February 15th, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Belle Hall Clubhouse, where we will cover the common misconceptions about retention ponds, ways to educate your neighbors, how to bring nature back and create living environments, and the practical how-tos for working with your HOAs.


This exciting initiative is led by Zack Snipes of Shoreline Restoration Group. Zack and his partners started the James Island–based company just three years ago, and in that short time, they’ve already restored nearly five miles of Lowcountry shoreline and planted more than 60,000 native plants.


Exploring recent work to restore the retention ponds at Belle Hall and Seaside Farms (see pictures below), we'll compare strategies to garner acceptance, enthusiasm, and financial support needed to bring back the sounds of summer to these ponds and your neighborhood.  Please read more about Shoreline Restoration Group's…
