About the event
Friend or Foe: Veggie Garden Insects Up Close
Thursday, June 25
10 am to 11:30 am
Join Christiana Huss, Urban Horticulture Agent and Master Gardener Coordinator for Clemson University Cooperative Extension serving Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties, for an informative look at the insects commonly found in Lowcountry vegetable gardens.
With a special focus on common pests like squash vine borers, aphids, caterpillars, beetles, and more, Christiana will help gardeners learn how to identify what’s harming their plants, spot problems early, and understand which insects are actually beneficial to the garden. Whether you’re growing tomatoes in raised beds or tending a backyard vegetable patch, this workshop will give you the tools to better recognize insect damage, protect your crops, and garden with more confidence.
