Workshop: where Waste Meets Wealth in Your Garden -compost workshop with humble acres organics

  • 46 Windermere Blvd Charleston, SC 29407 USA (map)

Discover the alchemy of gardening gold at our upcoming compost workshop. Join us for an immersive experience where we unlock the secrets of composting, turning waste into a nutrient-rich elixir for your plants. Let’s dig into the world of sustainable gardening as we guide you through the art and science of composting, from the perfect mix of greens and browns to troubleshooting common composting challenges.

Humble Acres Farm is a family owned farming operation in Barnwell County, South Carolina. The original farm was purchased in 1923 and has been farmed for four generations. Hatching Eggs, Organic Compost, and Bio-Fertilizer are the major commodities produced on the farm today.

Sustainable environmental practices are used in all phases of operations. They believe in feeding the soil with environmentally friendly organic products and using practices that encourage the development of a strong microbial community. These practices include crop rotations, reduced tillage, compost applications, and planting cover crops.

Let's embark on a journey to enrich our gardens while minimizing waste – because in composting, every scrap has a story, and every story contributes to the magic of our thriving horticultural community.
